A Day for Practice and Walking Hazards.
Wednesday, 12 August 2009. Sally and I arrived at the Greven-Bockholt venue about mid-morning just after Pony Team USA finished a successful Vet Check with many of the team still sporting team colors. While coordinated apparel is nothing new to Combined Driving, Kenny Cox (pair driver Tracey Morgan’s groom/navigator) took the practice to new heights with his Nikes. Kenny did remark that he’d prefer the tongues were labeled “Left” and “Right” rather than “Team USA” and “Kenny”. The hazards were open for walking in the afternoon and we took advantage of the time to walk each of the eight with Pony Team USA four-in-hand driver, Lisa Stroud. The hazards here are a Course Designer‘s dream. Each hazard is well built, extremely attractive and situated so as to provide easy viewing access for spectators.

The fact that my brother Kenny Cox needs his shoes labeled is not news. As our father would often say "no, your other left!"
