Results from Day 1 of Dressage

Thursday, 13 August 2009. We have 4 Single Pony competitors here at Greven-Bockholt. Of those, Sherri Dolan and Smoke in their first World Championship took 18th on a score of 58.5, Sara Schmitt and Batman took 12th on a score of 55.42 and Suzy Stafford and Courage to Lead stand in 4th with a 48.51 after a super dressage test. Pony Team USA is currently in second place with much more to come. We did have about a dozen of the Pairs this afternoon. The last entry of the day was Tracey Morgan and her Dartmoors. They are currently standing in third on a score of 53.5. Neither Tracey nor groom Kenny believe that placing will hold but we'll see. The first third of the Pairs had two tests in the upper 40s from a judges panel that's been pretty tight on giving out low dressage scores. Keep your fingers crossed for Katie Whaley and Randy Cadwell's tests tomorrow.
